News, Planning

Good morning and happy Sunday friends!

If all goes as planned, this will be my last news update until August 6th.  My big kid and I are set to leave on an epic European vacation this Saturday.  Fingers crossed for negative COVID tests!

Head over to my social channels to follow along on our adventure!

Now on to the news!

This week was all about Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship – the Disney Wish!

The Wish set sail on its maiden voyage this Thursday!  Two of my colleagues were lucky enough to be invited on preview sailings before the maiden voyage.  I shared many of their pictures earlier this week.  See more here!

This beautiful ship will sail 3 and 4-night itineraries from Port Canaveral, FL to the Bahamas and Castaway Cay.  Bookings are currently available through September 2023!

Also this week, Disney Cruise Line was named the Best Large-Ship Ocean Cruise Line by the readers of Travel + Leisure!

This year marks the fourth in a row – and sixth time in the past eight years – that Disney Cruise Line sits at the top of this list. To generate its annual rankings, Travel + Leisure asks readers to rate cruise ships on the quality of their service, staterooms, food, entertainment, itineraries and shore excursions.

Over at Walt Disney World, the International Food & Wine festival kicked off at EPCOT.  The festival continues through November!

A new car locator feature has been announced for the My Disney Experience and Disneyland apps!

Car locator is a complimentary feature that uses location technology to find and save your parking details. All guests have to do is open their My Disney Experience app and tap the car locator card on their home screen—or they can use the Feature menu () for access.

The feature will first launch at Walt Disney World Resort this summer and will be available at Disneyland Resort later this year.  The feature will be available at all four Walt Disney World theme parks, Disney Springs, Disney Water Parks, and the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

Finally, at Disneyland Park it was announced that the “Main Street Electrical Parade” and “Disneyland Forever” fireworks will be ending their limited-time runs on September 1.

I will be back with my regular news updates on August 6th, which will include all the news that breaks while I’m away!
