Have you ever thought to yourself that taking your kids on vacation is not a vacation at all – just parenting in a new location?
If this is you, may I suggest booking a Disney Cruise Line vacation ASAP?!
In my opinion, Disney cruises are the ultimate family vacation where you can have the both of best worlds – making magical memories as a family while still relaxing and getting plenty of adults-only time.
How is this possible? Kids of all ages have spaces on the ship designed especially for them!
For kids ages 3 – 10, the Oceaneer Club and Lab provides supervised activities including dance parties, crafts, even character interactions like Goofy’s pajama party! This space can be securely locked down, allowing you to drop your children off with confidence. My kids wake up every morning begging to go to the club and never want to leave!
Tweens 11-14 can meet up with friends, play games, watch movies and engage in creative activities in the Edge, while teens 14 – 17 have their own space to hang out, watch tv, play games and hang out at Vibe.
All of these spaces activities are included in your cruise fare!
For the smallest cruisers – 6 months to 3 years, it’s a small world nursery provides quality child care for a small additional fee. The nursery includes safe places for naps and also provides flexible programming such as story time and arts and crafts projects.
And while your kids are busy in the kids’ clubs, you can enjoy spaces and experiences designed just for the adults! Each ship has an adults-only pool area with bar,
a spa (you can find me in the rainforest room!),
a fitness center (no pictures since you won’t find me there!),
a variety of nightclubs and lounges
and adults-exclusive dining locations.
Beyond the kids’ clubs – the cast members are the absolute best in the business. They really cannot do enough for you, making the time you spend together truly magical.
In the main dining rooms, your wait staff will be with you for your entire voyage. After your first meal they will remember your kids’ drink orders and have them waiting when you arrive. Many of them will share origami or little puzzles or other little tricks to help entertain your children. They will even cut your children’s meat for them!
Now that you’re actually relaxed and ready to have fun with your kids – there is literally SO much to do (you won’t have time to do it all!)
Enjoy unique activities like the Hero Zone and Jack Jack’s Diaper Dash.
Dance and sing your heart out at themed deck parties and enjoy fireworks at sea on every sailing (except Alaska).
Meeting your favorite Disney friends is easy – you’ll find them throughout the ship every day.
Watch a movie, play trivia or bingo, do crafts and so much more!
Last but not least, all of Disney’s Broadway-style stage shows are performed twice each night. This means that no matter which dinner seating you have, you can enjoy the show without missing your full dinner experience!
