Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

Resorts

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is one of Disney’s moderate resorts.  Moderate resorts are priced between value resorts and deluxe resorts.  As such, they feature more amenities than the value resorts like full-service restaurants on site, water slides in the feature pools and larger room sizes.

The Caribbean Beach Resort is my favorite of the three moderate resorts for a couple of reasons.  Most importantly is the Skyliner.  This resort is actually located at the Skyliner hub making for a direct ride to both Hollywood Studios and EPCOT.

One of the biggest drawbacks to most of the moderate resorts is the sheer size of the resorts.  These resorts tend to be very spread out meaning you could have a long walk between your room and the lobby, transportation and other amenities.

Caribbean Beach Resort is, however not as large as the other moderate resorts and the addition of the Skyliner is a huge plus for this resort and helps to mitigate that walking issue!

This resort is also located next to Disney’s new Riviera Resort. This adds more great, convenient dining options for resort guests and a second Skyliner station.

This resort will truly make you feel as though you’ve been transported to the Caribbean with long stretches of beach and plenty of hammocks for relaxing.

The lobby is bright and airy with plenty of seating and also includes a large quick-service dining area –  Centertown Market – and Calypso Trading Post, a well-stocked gift shop.

The feature pool at this resort is pirate theme and includes a waterslide and splash pad for the littles. Each island group in this resort also has its own quiet pool.

Other amenities at this resort include Sebastian’s Bistro – a full-service restaurant featuring cuisine inspired by the Caribbean,

Banana Cabana – a pool-side bar,

Caribbean Cay (a playground),

a running trail and plenty of recreation experiences like movies under the stars and pool-side activities.

There are several room configurations at this resort including king bed rooms, standard two-queen rooms that sleep 4 and standard two-queen rooms that include a pull-down bed to accommodate 5 guests.

The room shown below includes the pull-down 5th sleeper.  In standard rooms, the pull-down is replaced with a dresser.
