Disney’s Pop Century Resort is one of Disney’s value resorts. Value resorts have the lowest price point on property, and so they do not have all the frills of the more expensive resorts.
That being said, these resorts are an excellent choice for guests who “only use the room to sleep” or who are otherwise looking for more budget-friendly accommodations.
Of the value resorts, Pop Century is my absolute favorite!
One of the best parts of the value resorts is the over-the-top theming! These resorts are just FUN! Pop Century Resort celebrates the fads and crazes of the 20th century from the 1950s to the 1990s.
Value resorts are going to also have the smallest rooms. All of the rooms, however, have been recently renovated to maximize space. Historically, value resorts had two double beds. Disney realized, however, that people want bigger beds! So as part of the renovation, Disney installed 2 queen beds. To keep the rooms comfortable, one of the beds is a Murphy bed meaning you can have two big beds for sleeping and a small table and extra floor space when you’re not!
These rooms are also equipped with coolers, pod coffee makers and plenty of storage space!
Although this resort may appeal to people who “only use the room to sleep” there is still plenty of fun to be had without leaving the resort!
There are, of course, pools…
. 
And food…
And many opportunities for recreation, including an arcade, a running trail and a full program of activities like movies under the stars and Mickey tie dye!
The thing that sets this resort apart from the other value resorts, however, is the LOCATION!
This resort is located along Hourglass Lake, giving you access to Art of Animation’s food court and lobby. This also means that if you are waiting for a bus to return to your resort, you can take the bus to Art of Animation and walk back – potentially saving you time waiting for buses.
But the best part of this location is the Skyliner! The Skyliner boards at the back of the property giving you fast, peaceful, picturesque transportation to Hollywood Studios, EPCOT and Caribbean Beach and Riviera Resorts!
