Enchanted Rose

Dining

Today is National Cocktail Day, so I thought I’d share one of my new favorite places to enjoy a cocktail in Walt Disney World…

Enchanted Rose!

This gorgeous lounge is located in the main building at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and is inspired by the Beast’s library in Beauty and the Beast.

The menu is very heavily tilted towards exquisite cocktails like this one…

Lavender Fog.

Nolet’s Silver Dry Gin, Rothman & Winter Creme de Violette, English Breakfast Tea, Vanilla and Cream. $18

I am not a gin drinker, but I loved this.  It very much felt like I was drinking a cloud.

I tend to prefer my liquor of the brown variety, so I am always drawn to whiskey cocktails.  I went with this one…

Rye Not?

WhistlePig 10 yr Rye Whiskey, Gran Marnier Cordon Rouge, Cinnamon, Pineapple and Lemon. $24

I loved this – very similar to an old fashioned, but different enough that you know.

My dining companion went for an Espresso Martini and enjoyed it so much, she had 2.

In addition to the cocktails, there is a variety of beer and wines, a selection of non-alcoholic beverages, and a small menu of appetizers.

The bar typically opens at 3:30 pm, but check before making your way there.  Also, food is only served between 5:00 pm and 10:00 pm so plan ahead if you’re going to be there early or late!
