Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship – the Disney Wish – officially sets sail on her maiden journey today!
Although this is considered the maiden journey, the Disney Wish has had a few invite-only, inaugural sailings over the past couple of weeks. Two of my colleagues were lucky enough to be included on these sailings and have shared their photos of this beautiful ship!
I cannot wait to sail on this ship and experience all of the new attractions this ship has to offer! And I am even more excited to see what Disney Cruise Line has in store for the two other new ships on order!
I have WAY more photos than I could fit in this post, so be sure to reach out if there’s something else you wanted to see!
The Disney Wish is based in Port Canaveral, Florida and will sail 3 and 4 night itineraries to the Bahamas and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. Reservations are now available through September 2023.

First, the dining and amenity spaces…
There are three main dining rooms. All cruisers will be able to eat in each dining room once. 4-night cruisers will experience one dining room twice. As with other Disney cruise ships, your wait staff will follow you each night. This allows them to get to know your preferences and make your dining experience even more special.

Disney Cruise Line, of course has epic kids’ clubs and the Oceaneer’s Club (ages 3 – 12) on the Wish is no exception. You can enter via slide! The Oceaneer’s Club includes Marvel Super Hero Academy, Star Wars Cargo Bay, Walt Disney Imagineering Lab and Fairytale Hall.
The littlest sailors (6 months to 3 years) get their own space in the it’s a small world nursery.
There are also clubs for Tweens and Teens! Edge accommodates tweens 11 – 14, Vibe is for teens 14 – 17 and older teens and young adults (18 – 20) can check-out The Hideaway. All of these spaces are designed just for them and supervised by trained counselors.
And, no Disney Cruise Line ship would be complete without a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for prince, princess and captain makeovers!
While the little ones are taken care of and having fun with their new friends, adults are free to enjoy the adults-only spaces on the ship and experience their own make-overs.
At Senses Spa, be pampered with a variety of spa treatments, or just enjoy the Rainforest – an indoor area with heated lounges, fountains, an aromatherapy steam room, a dry sauna and a calming pool. Outdoors, luxuriate in the shade under specially designed canopies and take a dip in outdoor pools.
There are also two separate salons! Hook’s Barbery – an upscale salon inspired by Captain Hook’s private quarters aboard the Jolly Roger. Adults 21 and older can enjoy a hidden bar featuring whiskies, bourbon and rum for tasting during treatments!
And Untangled Salon – a high-end salon inspired by Rapunzel.
Another new addition to the Disney Wish is the Hero Zone! This is a space for the entire family to have fun together.
This only touches on everything there is to do on this ship! Other highlights include:
Quiet Cove – an adults-only space on the ship featuring an infinity pool, bar and poolside lounge.
Palo Steakhouse – an adults-only restaurant inspired by Cogsworth from Beauty and the Beast.
Enchante by Chef Arnaud Lallement – an adults-only restaurant inspired by Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast with a menu from 3-Michelin-starred Chef Arnaud Lallement.
The Rose – an adult-exclusive lounge reminiscent of the enchanted castle from Beauty and the Beast.

Now, onto the cabins! These cabins retain all of the family-friendly features from the older ships – split bathrooms, tons of storage, black-out curtains separating the sleeping areas and raised beds – but they have also been refreshed with updated colors and new artwork!
