First, Walt Disney World!
Disney’s BoardWalk is set to receive several upgrades!
The resort will receive a charming new lobby design and refreshed guest rooms.
There will also be several new food options! A new coffee bar with artisanal beverages and quick bites will be added off of the lobby. The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers, a new table service restaurant and bakery will open in 2023. And The BoardWalk Bakery will become a new sandwich shop!
We also got an exciting update regarding the construction of the TRON Lightcycle / Run attraction. The ride vehicles are beginning testing! The next step is a process known as “push/pull,” where sections of the seven-vehicle train are slowly moved through the entire ride track. Once the track is completely ready, trains will begin launch tests at incremental speeds, with the team eventually working their way up to full-speed launches.
All of this exciting progress will be visible to guests in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom Park!
At Animal Kingdom Lodge, the Starlight Safari tour is now bookable for dates beginning April 22 and beyond. On this tour, guests climb aboard an open-sided safari vehicle and watch for over 30 species of African wildlife.
